Long Description
This lamp is one of two that was given to my mother as a gift. Both lamps are identical without any chips, cracks or missing pieces (it is a bit dusty). The prior owner was born in 1922. The family was rather wealthy. The only marking we can see is on the rotary on/off switch on the cord the that says "Leviton". It is believed to be hand carved and made of alabaster and possibly be from Italy.
Any insight or history would be great!
History
This was gifted to my mother from a lady born in 1922. How long she had this set of identical urn styled lamps is unknown. We do not know where they definitely originated from, but we suspect Italy.

Re: Antique Lamp
Based on the images this does appear to be an Alabaster lamp. Most of these are Italian and date from the first quarter of the 20th century. Some do carrying markings to indicate the maker, generally carved into the piece itself. The Levitron marking is just that of the company that made the electrical fittings, their lightbuld sockets can be found on a great many lamps dating from this period. This one is nicer than most, at auction it would go in the $300.00- $500.00 range.
