This set was brought over seas from Holland in the 1950s by ship container. There are no identification marks or labels anywhere on items. Dining table is large with drop up leaf under table, 4 chairs and 2 captain chairs. Chairs have horse hair, straw like material , large springs and straps. All original , never refinished ,original upholstery. side board unit has skeleton keys for drawers and doors. Also a tea trolley with glass.Ā
We have no idea what its date, wood type, and where it originated from. Owned from the 1950s to date by my late parents. Never moved from the existing house.Ā
Would like to know what date, where it was made , what style furniture. I am not a antique collecter and have no idea of its value. Ā Thanks for any input. Laurie
Re: Antique dining table, chairs, sideboard, tea trolley
It's in whats called "Jacobean Revival" style, designed to resemble early English furniture, most of it actually produced in England circa 1890-1930. Not a huge demand for sets like this currently, they often go at auction for under $800.00.
