Hi. Â Here is a 14k yellow gold ring with an aquamarine stone with two diamonds on either side of it. Â It is stamped "14k" but I could not get a close-up of the hallmark. Â The aquamarine is approximately 10mm by 7mm. Â I have a diamond detector thingy, and the diamonds make it beep, indicating they are real. Â The ring weighs 2.4 grams. Â
This ring was given to my mother in the mid to late 1930's by her aunt. Â I do not know when the aunt came into possession of the ring. Â She was born in the late, late 1800s. Â I'm assuming that she received the ring sometime in 1900 to 1925. Â I don't know if it makes a difference, but the family is from Connecticut and are of English and Irish descent. Â Of course, my great aunt is deceased, but the family remains in Connecticut.
The ring has beautiful filigree work on it.
Thank you so much.
Susan

I don't know why some of the pictures uploaded sideways on the site. Â They are all right side up on my computer. Â Sorry about that.
Re: Antique aquamarine and diamond ring
You really need to have this physically examined by a gemologist. Values for rings like this depend a great deal on the quality of the stones, which cannot be determined by photos.
