Re: Framed WWII Map Drawn by Emil Albrecht and Roland Wille
Judging by the respones here it would be safe to say this map was made in very large numbers, a framed example would have to be worth at least $50.00-$75.00.
Re: Framed WWII Map Drawn by Emil Albrecht and Roland Wille
My husband and I also have one of these maps by Emil Albrecht and Roland Wille. This was given to us by a neighbor years ago whom my husband and I befriended. My husband is a huge history buff and talked with him often about the war. Our neighbor gave us a german pistol and after his death, his wife gave us this map that she said he wanted us to have. It has been probably 20 or so years since his passing, and we found it in our basement recently. I would love to know if it's worth anything!

My father also had this print. He told me that Emil Albrecht and Roland Wille were famous political cartoonists from Germany who escaped the Nazis. They did this print of the European arena as a gift to the American servicemen and to build morale.  I have a print too, but I've never found any one who knows anything at all about it.
Re: Framed WWII Map Drawn by Emil Albrecht and Roland Wille
My friend, Joe Corso, who was a platoon sergeant in the 14th Infantry regiment (of the 71st division) in WWII, recently gave me a copy of the map you show. He tells me he and others in the 71st Division received copies of the map. The map is also in the front piece of the 71st Division History book. The original map, if it exists, is probably in the possession of Emil Albrecht and Rollan Wille whose names appear on the map. Incidently, my friend Joe Corso and another member of the 14th Infantry (Lt) Don Moberg will be retracing their march through France, Germany, Czechoslovakia, and Austria using the same map as a guide. Thye will be leaving Sept 15 2011. Jim Thayer (retired General) and his son Jim retraced the 71st march in 2007 and he produced an excellent video of his travels. Corso and Maberg plans to do the same. The 71st division has been having annual reunions and a great many of their family members take part in the reunions (you can find details of the reunion on Google). This year the reunion will be in Cinncinnati (Sept 10, 2011).
Re: Framed WWII Map Drawn by Emil Albrecht and Roland Wille
Although it is a fairly common piece, it is nevertheless a very desirable map and makes an excellent wall-piece for any WW2 US collection. While a frame would be detrimental in selling it online because of high shipping, in a retail setting this would easily go for $100 to $150.

Hey , my name is Nick Glaser and my grandfather Chris Piscopo was also in the 71st infantry I have this same drawing hanging up in my room which led me to here!
Re: Framed WWII Map Drawn by Emil Albrecht and Roland Wille
I have two of these. Both from my father. One I had framed and it has been on the wall for many years, so it has faded. The other is much brighter. I have donated it to the United States Holocaust Museum as part of their permanent collection, along with many of his letters from overseas.Â
