This piece has been identified as "a large jardiniere made by Josef Inwald of Czechoslovakia in the pattern known to collectors as "Diamond Cut". This massive large size is known, but is very rare. The base of your piece almost certainly has a shiny mirror ground finish, typical of Inwald's Carnival." Glen Thistlewood.
Soooo.... I have searched EVERYWHERE and cannot find any info on this piece... does anyone have one, know of one... know of the sale of one? I am keen to know something about its collectability and value... ANY help will be appreciated.
The base glass is light amber, and the Marie is ground.
It is a huge, oval piece 52 cm (L) x 26 cm (w) x 25 cm (h) and looks like a fruit bowl or centerpiece. It is in mint condition.
I have browsed many sites but cannot find it... any help??

Thank you kindly

Re: Large Jardiniere by Josef Inwald
They say that you can find anything on the internet. Yet so many people, like yourself, prove that is not true.
I suggest finding an actual book on antique glass. I know alot of antique places where sellers have alot of glass, and that there are books specifically on the subject.
