The Bent family made fine furniture, including tables and chairs for 125 years until Gardner Bent, the last family member to own the property, sold it to PA Acquisition Corp. The property was again sold in 2000 and operated as Samuel Bent LLC. It made furniture for a few years but was sold again at auction in 2002 to Bent Mill LLC. That company hoped to renovate the property for multiple uses, including restaurants and art space, but lost the property in 2006 to the city for back taxes.
