Instappraisal is a 100% crowdsourced appraisal site which means that the public review and comment on the appraisal requests that the community submits, including yours. While Instappraisal does have some professional appraisers on staff it is typically the community that helps answer what your item is and what its value may be.
To find your item, simply enter a few keywords in the "Search" box in the upper-right of any page. For example, if you were asking for an appraisal request for a "Parker Fountain Pen" then type in "Parker Fountain Pen" and so long as your item was successfully entered and submitted then you'll find your item and any comments that may have been posted by the community. If after using the "Search" box you don't see your items listed then most common issues are that you may have spelled something wrong or differently than how you are typing them into search. Also, if you have problems submitting your request (no photos, incorrect fields completed, loss of Internet connection, etc.) then your item may not have submitted properly and you will need to reenter it. You can also quickly find your item(s) by clicking on the "My Account" link in the "Navigation" section (on the left column on all pages) and then click on the "Track" tab. The "Track" tab will list your posts, including your appraisal requests.
The time that it takes for an appraisal request to have responses depends on what type of item you are requesting information/value about. If it's a more common item then chances are that the community will quickly respond to your request. If the item is unusual or specialized then it can take some time for responses to come in. The time that it takes for a request to receive comments also depends on which appraisers (the community) see your request. Since different people visit Instappraisal at different times, the time for responses to show up can vary - some items get near immediate answers, often within 24 hours, and others can takes weeks to answer or some items can be so unusual that folks may not know anything about them. Hope this information helps you.
