I have inherited china from my great grandmother. The mark indicates that it was purchased between 1891 and 1906 which time period corresponds with her life. The serving pieces all have handles that look like they are made of 2 ribbons of china that curve around each other where they meet.. Or one long piece with a twist in the middle you could say. The edges have a slight scallop to them. They are almost transluent. I have never seen any porcelain that looked this thin and delicate.
The number 63 appears on the back and the serving pieces have gold around the handles and edges. There are 10 serving pieces, the sugar bowl having broken when my brother bounced his baseball off the table in 1955. The set has 12 place settings and a few bowls have cracks or chips but not the salad or dinner plates. There are 12 butter chips.
Does this have much value now? Thanks, Sarah
