Long Description
Another item from the basement. A dark-greenish glass(?) bowl, with a multi-hued effect inside. The only markings, inside or out, are a letter 'N' , underlined and circled. I'm at a loss on how to better describe this one.
History
Belonged to grandmother (1905 - 1970), and possibly *her* mother.

Re: Old glass bowl, unusual composition/color
Carnival glass. There are a few different types. Their cool to look at and pretty valuable from what I've seen. I believe it is also around the depression glass era.Â
Re: Old glass bowl, unusual composition/color
originally produced by Fenton art glass (USA)Â in 1908 as competition to the expensive Tiffany glass. It did not sell as well as expected and was discounted. Fairground owners began to buy it up to use as prizes (hence the name). See:

Re: Old glass bowl, unusual composition/color
this is not Fenton, nor was it fenton owned. the symbol you have described means it is Northwood.Â
