My father aquired these in Germany about 1953. I don't know much beyond that. I'd like an idea about the value of it. We have a 12 place setting of these and other misc. other pieces.
Meissen porcelainĀ orĀ Meissen chinaĀ is the first EuropeanĀ hard-paste porcelainĀ that was developed from 1708 byĀ Ehrenfried Walther von Tschirnhaus. After his death that October,Ā Johann Friedrich Bƶttger, continued his work and brought porcelain to the market. The production of porcelain atĀ Meissen, nearĀ Dresden, started in 1710 and attracted artists and artisans to establish one of the most famous porcelain manufacturers, still in business today asĀ Staatliche Porzellan-Manufaktur Meissen GmbH. Its signatureĀ logo, the crossed swords, was introduced in 1720 to protect its production; the mark of the crossed swords is one of the oldestĀ trademarksĀ in existence. It dominated the style of European porcelain until 1756..Your mark is 1924-1934Ā
Its very hard to give a value on anything that you can't see.Ā
