Long Description
This sword has a brass and bone handle with a lion's head, a steel blade, and a leather sheath. It was most certainly made by Luckhaus & Gunther, but anything beyond that is speculation. Below the brand name is the word, "Remscheid." I am not sure what this means. Any clarification as to the history of this sword would be greatly appreciated.
History
This sword has been in my family for at least fifty years. We are not certain where it came from because the person who gave it to my father is now deceased.
