Good Day, Let me begin by saying a huge thank you. Not many people would donate their own time and expertize to help a stranger. This is for a mens sterling silver ring signed Jane Yikaazba Popovitch (with of course the stamp of a circle the word 'sterling' and the interlocking 'JP"), jade ring. The jade cabochon is 20 mm by 15 mm about 15 carats, the ring is heavy about 30 grams and looks to have been gold washed when made. I bought it in Etsy for $40.40. Ill include the pics here . I would just like to know as much about the ring and it's history as possible, it's heritage, and how common jade is used in Native American jewelry.. I know she was a prominant silversmith, but not much else other than the fact her son, an eco-activist was found dead in his van on a dirt road on the reservation and though ruled accident and or suicide, many believe he was murdered by those working for the logging companies. I'm sorry I'm rambling, but I hope you can tell how much I care about NA history and it's culture. Thank you for your time and effort.
