I believe this is what is known as a "Mid to lateĀ 19th centuryĀ Rococo Victorian center table." Values range from $800-15,000 at auction depending on a number of factors. I would contact an expert at sothebys/christies auction houses for further input if the member "Lovejoy", which is very familiar with furniture, is unable to tell you more. I do know most of the higher end pieces featured solid marble tops.
