This cane has been handed down through the family, I am the third generation to have it. The story as I've been told is that it is from the days of the prohibition era, not sure how, where, or when exactly it was aquired.  Anyway best I can tell the head of the cane is that of an eagle and solid brass, the cane is split into 3 sections that all screw together to make the full 35.25" in length. Once unscrewing and removing the head at the top, it reveals a cavity 4.75" deep which holds a test tube like vessel with a cork top that is 6.25" long. Removing the cork reveals a slight odor, not sure of what but as the story was told to me the purpose of the test tube was to carry liquor  secretly inside the handle of the cane. I have looked the cane over top to bottom for any kind of mark, date, or anything and have found nothing.Â
