Long Description
Set of 6, 9" botanical porcelain plates, They have a green border and gilt pierced rim. The botanical designs appear to be decals that have been finished by hand painting the prominent features. On the reverse of the plates is the number 8 with what appears to be a 5 or 9 spaced with a point ie:5.8 5.9 (see pictures).
History
My grandmother was given these by an antiques dealer that she worked for, who at the time said they were Swansea though I now believe them to be Stafford

Based on your images I would
Based on your images I would have to say they are not Swansea, but they do resemble mid 19th Century examples by coalport, Davenport and Rockingham. Similar examples were also made in Germany during the last quarter of the 19th Century. Value wise I'd find it hard to part with them for less than $200.00 each.
