You have to bear in mind that anything you post up for an appraisal only sits on the main page for about a day or even less, if nobody spots it it goes to pages 2-3-4-5 etc. I'd suggest reposting it for a couple of days, it doesn't cost anything except your time.
Appraisal requests are entered by and answered by the Instappraisal community. Â So a response to a request and how long it may take is dependent on many factors.
1) How detailed and how clear your description is of the item
2) How many photos you uploaded and how detailed are the photos. Â Do you have enough photos, do they show the markings well, do they truly communicate what your item is if someone saw them?
3) How common or uncommon is your item. Â If you item is more common then the community has a higher probability of replying to your appraisal request. Â Statistically more common items have a higher number of people who know the valuation and history. Â Uncommon items can take longer since it's dependent on someone from the community seeing your item who happens to know about it. Â The longer your request is up then higher the possibility that someone will find it and enter a comment
4) Since Instappraisal is 100% community-based response time is a factor of who in the community who knows about your item sees the request.
5) You can learn more about how the appraisal process works here. Â Â I hope this helps answer your question.Â
Re: if Ive posted a pic for appraisal, how long does it take ...
Hi Elizabeth,
I was wondering if you heard from anyone regarding your question? I submitted an item as well and not received any feedback either. Thanks.
