Re: Italian Barbotine Majolica Vase w/ Apples
I would agree this piece is by Carlo Mollica - Italy.Â
Based on the subject I would date this piece circa 1938 - 1952. During this period fruit was a common theme. Barbotine was french and usually was florals and smaller in size from what I have found in my research.
This is a lovely piece of Italian history the Hallmark crown over an M was in use during my estimate period of being made. Definately this piece could have been in a French Barbotine Style from decades earlier.Â
Circa 1938 - 1952
Estimate Value: $ 500 - $1250 US ... This estimate could fluctuate on market if you were to sell this piece. Many pieces become sought after in certain periods. For insurance I would place $1500 - $1750 US to replace if ever destroyed.
Kindest Regards ..
