Long Description
My father bought this set for my mother in Japan while on on a tour in the US Navy. Â I have a full dinner setting for 8 plus several serving pieces. Â I am just wondering if this is a recognized pattern or manufacturer (pictures included) and any information on it. Â
The bamboo is all in metallic silver and there is gold edging on the rims.
Thank you so much!

Re: Japanese china set - Silver bamboo with owls
Did you ever gather information on this item? I have a similar story to yours although the sugar lid is missing but I cannot find any information on the marking.
Re: Japanese china set - Silver bamboo with owls
The marking is Japanease script. The mark on the back of the plate is a generic one meaning Dai Nippon or "Great Japan". These wares were mass produced for export during the Taisho (1913-1926) & early Showa (1926-1988) period.
