Brown Saltman - Designer Unknown

After rigorous research, I’m unable to find this exact model anywhere online. It looks most similar to the Paul Frankl Combed Wood Cabinet but there are obvious variances.

The top drawer opens up and transforms into a desk of sorts. The handles appear to be black brass. Is that possible?

I believe the wood to be blond mahogany.

Please help me identify this piece!

I am usually too much careful when I design something from scratch. My stuff's are an insipration which i took from something previously. If I am in doubt I will do a scale drawing on my old mech write my assignment cheap drawing board to get a sense of proportion. In some cases I have mocked up some of the key components out of a cheap wood, like pine, to make sure that I'm ok with it.
