Accurate Description of Item
One Plume & Atwood Oil Lamp
Appraiser Remarks
As far as I'm aware the Eagle burners can date back to about 1900, but remained in production until about 20 years ago. Glass table lamps like this one tend to date from the late 19th century through the 1920's.
Plume & Atwood incorporated under that name in 1880. They made brass fittings for all types of oil and gas lamps. Their 1906 catalog contained seventy-eight pages of lamps and replacement parts, they also supplied similar brass fittings to other lamp manufactures, such as Aladdin right up to 1963.
Sadly, Plume & Atwood lamps of this type an vintage have very little value, comparable ones often go at auction now for less than $20.00
