Two Ways to Add Photos To Your Appraisal

Entering photos (.jpg, .gif, .png) into your appraisal request is very simple and extremely important. An accurate representation of your item cannot be done without photos. Be sure to have the photos saved on your computer that you wish to insert into your appraisal request. There are now two different ways to add photos to your appraisal.

Method #1 (Easier & Faster):
In the "Photos" section of the "Get a Free Appraisal" form (towards the bottom) you'll see a "Browse" and "Upload" button. Simply click on the "Browse" button and navigate to where the photo is located on your computer. When you've found your file double click it to select it. Then click on the "Upload" button and your photo will be added. Keep doing this for as many photos as you'd like to add (up to six). Please make sure that your files are no larger than 600x600 and no larger than 1024 in size.

Method #2 (More complex - more flexibility):
You will add your images directly into the "Long Description and Pictures" section of your appraisal request form:

1) In this area you'll see a little icon titled "Insert/edit image" Insert/edit image Click this icon and the following will appear.

2) Click the little icon avove and you'll then see a window like this appear:

Click on the "Browse" button and navigate to where your file is located on your computer.
Then click on the "Upload File" button. Your file will then be uploaded.

3) Click on the "add" next to where your image uploaded

4) Then click on the "Insert" button and your photo will be added.

Repeat this process for any other photos you wish to upload.
This sounds complicated, but it's actually very simple to do.

Helpful Hints:
There are two important things to remember when putting up your photos into your appraisal request:

#1 - Keep the size of each of the photos to no more than 600x600 pixels. You can easily adjust the size of the photos using software such as Photoshop™ or any of the free built-in image manipulation software that your computer probably came with or that you can download for free from sources like CNET (http://www.download.com).

#2 - Be sure to keep the size of your image files (KB or kilobytes) reasonable. This means that you should choose the option, "Save for the Web" whenever you save your image files to make them smaller in file size (file size is different than the picture size mentioned in #1 above). Do not simply take a photograph with your camera, save it, and then try to upload it. In most cases the file size will be significantly large and will take too long to transfer and be too large for to save.
