elderly lady moving, taking nothing with her, given as gift in return for work

Long Description and Pictures (jpg, gif, png)

part of a collection given to my son by an elderly lady in return for helping her fix up her house in preparation of selling it and moving away, hoping the emblem on the back will help identify it, I have tried to recreate it in the photo below, has the date 1776 on it but that is probably part of a brand name or trademark
