Earl Daniels was born in 1920 in New York, and died 1999 in Hawaii, but spent most of his time in California.  I read about one man who spent 2 days of workshop under him and was very grateful for the experience.  Depending on the landscape/seascape, and any numbers or symbols on your painting/frame, it will depend on what order your painting came in.  I have seen some of his paintings, and they are quite beautiful.
