Re: Painted wood sign
Its a nice piece and may be close to one of a kind. Curtiss-Wright has a collectors market of its own , my first suggestion would be to contact the company which has been around since the late twenties and ask them if they have a history of it or knowledge of it. Forties is a good guess but could go to thirties or fifties. Hard to say with a piece like this but 300 as a low and ???? as a high would be fair, I have never seen a piece like this in airplanes or under Curtiss-Wright, take your time with this one
If your in a hurry go fishing on ebay 99 cents with a 1000 dollars reserve for maximum days and also a make an offer button, if you get a bite from the real collectors you'll gather useful information and get a real guage on the value but first I would contact the company they may want to acquire the piece
