Nobody can appraise an oil painting from an image, you really need to have such pieces physically examined to determine their origins and value. Most Auction houses have free appraisal days where they will evaluate items, I suggest you take it to one in your local area.

I don't understand how this site works. I was encouraged when I first got here, now I am getting frustrated. I keep getting messages that my post can't be seen. I have followed all the prompts and have been able to view it myself from the home page even when i'm logged out. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong.
You can find your appraisal request and any comments by typing in a few words in the "Search Instappraisal" box at the upper-right of every page. It's best to type in a few words specific to your item's title (e.g. if it's a Tiffany Lamp then type in Tiffany Lamp). Then click on the "Search" button and you should see your appraisal along with other similar results. This is also a good way to find other similar items and responses from others that you can use for comparison to your item. Often you can find something similar enough that you can glean value and history of your item.
Also when you submit your appraisal request you will ALWAYS see it immediately posted to Instappraisal's home page. If you don't see it on the home page after you submit it then something went wrong. Make sure you are putting in the correct answer to the math question at the bottom of the page, and when you go back to look at the home page make sure that you refresh the page to see the latest content.
We do have an issue which will be resolved by end of today where some appraisals were not showing up in the search results. After this is resolved you should definitely see your appraisal and any comments.
If you are still having problems then send a note to Instappraisal Support by using the "Contact" link at the top of the page.

I'm sorry but my frustration is growing. I have been trying to research this china for weeks now. I know the complete biography of John Maddock and his family. But still know nothing about the dinnerware or the pattern. The only responses I've gotten from this site are that it can't be seen. I did have one person say they could see it but couldn't help. There in lies the frustration. I am not an antique dealer or collector. I just happen to have acquired a set of china that i am curious about. I may , in a pinch, want to sell it.I just want to get an idea of what it's worth.
I see one appraisal request that you placed - for a "Jon Maddock Sons Dinnerware." If you directed people or are yourself searching for "John Maddock" that would be one of the problems. I assume that you meant to put "John Maddock" and not "Jon Maddock"? If so, go to the following URL where your appraisal is and edit it and correct it.

Every time I type in the title of my items at Search, it always comes up zero and nothing shows. Also, I had bookmarked everything yet a set of Moriage Dragonware I posted here comes up as (Access denied) and that was after I logged in. What's gong on here? I usually have to run the the entire numbers at the bottom of the page to find anything.
Steamboater: Same problem here. I cant access any of my item posts either. They are not even on my track back info. I remember your post it wasnt too long ago. I checked my mothers dragon set and hers has a red painted chinese mark on all the pieces. The lady on the bottom of the cups is very detailed you can see the strands in her hair. No idea of the value yet.

Re: Help Me
I did a search on your name "windy11965" and I don't see any listing. Post your request again, if it catches my eye I'll have a look at it.
