Glassware and Crystal Collectors

I have a crystal bowl that my mother bought in England around 1952. The color of the bowl is blood red even though the pictures don’t show that. Can you give me any information on value? There are no markings of manufacturer on the bowl. I believe the bowl is in perfect condition–no chips. Bowl has rose pattern.

i was always told this mirror came home with my grandparents and was taken from an old chateau in frnace and the mirror was from the 19th century. i do't know anything about it. in good condition, a few knicks ans chips but they are on back of mirror. the material underneath the chips looks and feels like porcelain to me but i am no expert.

Hand carved elephant tusk ivory figure of an elderly, bearded fisherman about 9" tall, holding a fish in both hands, standing in his bare feel.

Beautiful antique crystal and bronze ashtray and lighter set...  (I think it is bronze)  Has the marking ACCURATE  G05 on the bottom.  Can anyone tell me about the marking and what the value of the set might be?

This letter is one of two letters in my possession written to a Mr. G.N. Wright from the infamous fraud Dr. Bye of Dr. Bye's Combination Oil Cures for Malignant Diseases.  Dr. Bye, from my understanding, was eventually banned from using the United States Postal Service for the purpose of promoting his miracle cures.   I have the two letters and the two original  stamped envelopes used for mailing.   Are these of any value?

Again a beatiful dish hand painted in Norway, on Brownze. 

Four coaster in excellent condition on one side has the stamp of Genfiddich Scotch Whisky, with the Deer.  Other side has  red velvet, with a tag saying over 500 million years old in a green velvet bag.  The coasters says it is made of Natural Slate.  Designed and supplied by Mitreprize LTD, London) 01-771-5252

Parents are now in assited living, we have many things from Norways and antiques we can not keep. 

Father is 94 years old and had to put in a assisted living, can not keep all his antiques him and mom keept the duck is green and brown, hand painted

I WAS SETTING UP FOR MY GARAGE SALE, I SAT A TALL VASE OF MY BOYFRIENDS ON THE TABLE AND IT JUST KEPT BUGGING ME SO I WENT BACK OVER TO IT FLIPPED IT OVER AND ITS A FENTON GLASS PIECE. KNOW THAT MANY THEIR ITEMS ARE VERY PRICING CAUSE I HAVE A FEW OF MY OWN. I HAVE SEACRCHED EVERYWHERE ON THE INTERNET TO TRY AND FIGURE OUT ITS VALUE, BUT I AM VERY UNSUCCESSFUL. I DON'T MIND SELLING THE VASE HOWEVER WOULD LIKE TO KNOW THE VALUE IN ORDER TO MAKE A DECISION ON THE PRICE TAG.

I was told that this came from a castle in Italy from the antique store salesman.  I wasn't sure if I believed that, but I bought it because I thought it was absolutely beautiful.  It comes in three pieces: base, urn and lid.  It has hand-painted flowers and the background base color has a crackled finish.

I unfortunately have no further information regarding the origin of the trunk and what type of material is on the outside of the trunk.

Table has leaves and 6 chairs. the chairs have been re-upholstered; no other refinishing was done since purchase.

the vase has been repaired at the stem, looks like the stem of the base broke off at some point, the dish has a flea bite of a chips on the very top of the lid

Set of 2 Norcrest Fine China Bride & Groom Mugs

Pair of Figurines.  One Man and One Woman.  The outfits look like they are from the Colonial Period, but I'm not positive about that.  There are very shiny Gold Accents, in many places, on both pieces.

They are painted, with very fine detail. The fingers are beautifully done--especially the Woman's.  

There is a Flower, with 3 leaves, between the Man's shoes and it looks as if there is a small piece missing, from the middle leaf.  It is difficult to notice, but the area is a little rough and looks like a little piece was broken. 

I can't find any other flaws, on either piece. 

I do not have a picture.  This bowl was in excellent to mint condition until my mover when the movers broke it.  I am looking at obtaining  value for a claim.  Please help I have been searching the web and can not find any information.  The bowl is about 20 years old and was $500 at the time of purchase.  Please Help!!!  Rose

 The picture is of a castle and two men walking up steps. There are 2 faces on the castle and a man looking out of one of the castle windows.

Appears to be a silver plate of St. George(the front) and was made into a box,

welded to another box to make it the way it looks now. A handle is on each side. One person

suggested it may have been a tea box.  My husbands father who was greek, always told him there was a piece of Christs cross in the box. however, the box was opened to find two byzantine coins.

What a surprise. Any help on this would be appreciated.
