Re: Copper Samavar

I know it has to be from before 2006 but I'm not sure of the date besides that I remember it already refinished approx. 45 years ago when I was around 6 years old. I'm 642-415 exam sure there must be some way to acurately date it. I know it came from a european area before getting to Toronto in a tarnished state that's why it was refinished so 642-974 exam it would be a nice piece to admire. I haven't seen one anything like it anywhere ever. I would sure like to know who would have used it & when? Isn't there some cultural 646-563 exam ties to its history? Any information would be great,Bert.

Re: Copper Samavar

the "06 style of dateing is a 1900's quirk and for the future not a good one.
I personally would be very upset with the refinishing co. for stamping my piece especially if it had any age on it. Now all who see it will believe it is a repro and any antique value it might have had is either destroyed or in serious question. That was a very unprofessional co. or extreemly ignorent not to mention arogent one.

Re: Copper Samavar

Thank you Vixalin , Have you come across any others that are as ornate as mine? I'm curious as to what a comparable ome would be worth & what if it was still totally tarnished?
Thanks again , Bert
