The bell is in great shape. Lettering says O.S. Bell & Co. Hillsboro O. on one side.

No. 1 Yoke 1886 on the other. The carriage is also in great shape and is marked #1 Upright 1886. I tried unsuccessfully to attach pictures. I have plenty if there is maybe an email address I could send them to. Thank you very much.   

My own research concludes it is from the O.S. Bell foundry in Hillsboro Ohio that closed down in the 50's.

I have a Nordemende Turandot German-made radio. Although not from the 1940s advertising agencies or 1950s; it is a tube radio made around 1962; probably nearly the last of homeowners insurance its kind. The cabinet is pretty clean with no serious blemishes (chips, cracks or discolorations). The speaker grille cloth is also in good condition (no rips or tears). It works... but crackles and cuts in and out when a key or switch is pressed.fitness equipment

I have a cast iron bell that is marked 1 and is a 1886. It is a large bell, maybe a dinner bell that might have been use on a farm or ranch. It comes from a company named The Bell Co. from Hillsboro, ohio, Crystal Metal. I also am looking for a price for it. Hard to find any information about it. cthompsons52@aol.com

I have a bell marked, I think, "O. S. Bell Company" and "Hillsboro, O" and marked with a "2" and "UPRIGHT" and a date "1886". I'd like to find out as much as I can about the company, the bell, when it might have been made and approximate value. I was raised on a farm in Ky and the bell was mounted on a post in the backyard. The manufacturer is C.S. Bell, not O.S. Bell.
