Filing cabinets of this type made their appearance after the turn of the 19th Century and were made until World War Two.They reappeared during the 1980's when the demand for old oak examples exceeded supply of the originals. Values for them vary depending on their vintage and condition , as they are prone to damage from humidity and rough usage. Most need some sort of restoration if found in " As Is "condition. Most sell in the $450.00- $800.00 range.
