Accurate Description of Item
One Set of 8 Place Settings of Depression Glass by Jeannette in the Cube Pattern (1929-1933)
Appraiser Remarks
The "Cube" or "Cubist" pattern was made by the Jeannette Glass Company from 1929 -1933, the bulk of it made in pink, green, and crystal. Not all glass by this company is marked, if it is mark would be a capital J enclosed by either a square or a triangle, and sometimes alone. The J is sometimes is reversed on the bottom of the piece. The company operated until 1983, the factory closed that year.
Sadly values for sets lag far behind those that have been broken up, the sum value of their individual parts not being the actual value. The pieces sold as individual items for replacement purposes can go for three times what they would as part of a set sold as one item.
