Hi! Â I believe I have the same chair but mine has been upholstered on the seat and back. Â I got it from my father. Â Great looking old chair, extremely well made!
Another appraisal on this website seemed to describe this type of chair (like mine w/ padded back & seat w/ nail heads around the back -- but the frame of my chair looks identical to yours except on mine the seat & back are padded & I have no idea what it looks like underneath the padding). Â The appraiser called this the "classic office chair" style & said it was made between 1914 and 1940, with an estimated secondary market value between $850-1100 depending on condition and location where it's being sold of course.
Question - do the feel/wheels on your chair seem original? Â If yes -- would you kindly post a pic of them? Â I do not think the rollers on the bottom of my chair are original but the rest seems to be.
