Long Description
This piece was a gift. Not sure how much was paid for it. i know it is stamped William Spratling Taxco Mexico  TS-24 which indicates it was made in Taxco Mexico by Spratling's successors after his death in 1967. I have found identical pieces in the web with the exception that they are described as rosewood and sterling, the wood in my piece however is very black and appears to be ebony. I never found any pricing information. I know it's not worth as much as a piece made during Spratling's lifetime but I'm still curious about its worth. I've seen some other pieces with the same marks selling for $500 and up. I've never found any information about the worth of this particular piece. Any help would be greatly appreciated.Â

Re: William Spratling Sterling Silver and Ebony Belt Buckle...
For anyone interested, I wrote the Successores de William Spratling in Mexico and they were very helpful. They confirmed that this is a genuine piece made at the ranch and put its value at around $380 dollars! Very excited. They also said that all of the jewelry is made with genuine Ebony and this ebony not rosewood in this piece. Â The piece is for sale if interested, I am willing to go down a bit on the price and am happy to provide the appraisal info I was given.
