Appraiser Remarks
Many Porcelain makers in Limoge, France, produced "Whiteware" blanks that were sold to companies and private studios, who would then decorate them for resale. The marking "France" indicates that this piece was made post 1890, a result of American trade tariff regulation. Demand for Limoges ware peaked in the 1990's along with the demand for other Victorian decorative items, but has since declined considerably.
