Long Description
Picture will not load. I have an East Lake chair with one arm. I have purchased many East Lake pieces but never seen any like this. I was told by an elderly southern gentleman that it is an 1800's Confederate soldier's parlor chair. (The one arm accomodated the soldier's sword when he sat). Has anyone ever seen or know of these chairs???

That's old wives tale I'm
That's old wives tale I'm afraid, Eastlake chairs were made after the Civil war. These chairs are not rare and the lack of arms had more to do with ladies skirts than soldier's swords ;~). Sight unseen I can't give you a value.
