I found this typewriter at a thrift store for $20. I've done a little research online, and with the Underwood serial number database being closed, I'm having difficulty dating it.

The Underwood company states that they started making the Champion in the 1930's and that in the 1940's they were used in Army.

I was hoping that someone could help me find the history of my tyepwriter. The serial number is G1395556 I would love to find out if it was actually used in the army.

This typewriter is fully functioning, in tact and in good condition. I conducted a serial number search on it and found that it was manufactured in 1912.

Just wanting to know value of the typewriter. I have the model # and patent #. Model # is 247025. Patent # is 160,071. Date under patent # says "November 9 1519".
