History:
Bought it in Bermuda in 1970 as a nice decorative print. It's had a long life of appreciation but is a bit 'tired' now. Seems to be a very rare image.
Long Description and Pictures (jpg, gif, png):

A board print of Paul Detlefsen's 'School's Out', measuring 24" x 40", framed (but the frame is nothing special), a little faded and tired. I've enjoyed it for 40 years, my children don't want it, someone might be a collector of Detlefsen's work and enjoy it for its rarity. It's currently in my home in England, so I imagine any purchaser would prefer it without the clunky frame for shipping economy. I have paypal and will include shipping costs in any price agreed.

Long Description and Pictures (jpg, gif, png):

Naturally in the representation of scenes of love and frivolity, the decorative
surroundings or frame work was treated lightly. The Rococo details, which to-
gether with the naturalistic treatment of floral forms, garden emblems, with the shepherdess and doves shown in the vista, present a favorit style of design
,which give lasting imprint to this period.

Got at a catholic church sponsored yard sale
Long Description and Pictures (jpg, gif, png):

This appears to be a print, I don't want to unseal the back at this point because it is still original from the framer: Theodore Seiz Pictures & Frames,
30 w 125th St New York. I tried to look up the framer's name, all I can find is a New York Times 1901 reference to a fire there that occured there in 1898. No name is visible to me on the print. I'm thinking that it is Jesus in Gethsemane; (or possibly the young Mark, due to the lack of clothing). Over his head is what appears to be an arc of a halo, the way halos were often depicted,(this is difficult to make out in the photos). Any thoughts, facts or otherwise greatly appreciated!
