Vintage Putter, wooden handle with Thistle symbol I think a family member said it was from Scotland but I am not sure.

So about 30 years ago, my Dad picked this up for a few hundred dollars. Not exactly sure where, or who it came from. But nobody in my family has any idea what it is.

When he first acquired it, he had attempted to identify the item to no avail. It is a sealed container, which had been opened to reveal... Nothing.
Although it would be nice to know what something like this is worth, I'm much more interested in just figuring out what exactly it is. Any help would be very much appreciated. Thanks you for your time.

I don know that Samuel Kirk was born in 1792 or 93. I have done some research on his back ground.
