History:
Father brought it back from Asia in the mid 1940's
Long Description and Pictures (jpg, gif, png):
This is a very nicely carved budda. Referred to as Happy Budda, he sits with one hand in his knee and holding something in the other hand, possibly a gemstone of some kind. It measures 1 1/2"x1"x1/2" and is in excellent condition. He doesn't wear the jewelry I've seen on other statues from the 1800's so I'm guessing since my father bought it when he was in the war, they may have been made later than the 1800's. I'm not sure if he got it in China or Japan. He was also stationed in Korea so maybe it came from there. Been doing alot of research for additional history and have several similar pieces all made in the late 1800's or early 1900's.

History:
Bought in Florida in 1984, we were told the piece was Russian.
Long Description and Pictures (jpg, gif, png):
Cradle is in good condition. It is missing the finials on the top side supports and appears to have had a canopy at some point (also missing). There are some stamped/carved writing of unknown origin on one of the bed siderails along with the carved intitials T.A.R. The cradle appears to have its original finish, has some scratches and nicks typical for its age. The bed portion of the cradle is very shallow. We were told that the cradle would have been owned by a wealthy family who only used it to "show" a new infant, not for everyday use. Not sure of the origin, but it was suggested to be from Russia.

Came down from great grandmother.
Long Description and Pictures (jpg, gif, png):
We believe that this oil lamp came from our family which is from England. We believe the cross and the gargoyle represent warding of evil after the battle of hastings. Our Great Great Grandfather fought in the battle of hastings and we believe he brought it over from England.

History:
I really do not know anything about this hutch. It was left behind in a house I bought about 20 years ago.
Long Description and Pictures (jpg, gif, png):
All the detail seems to be hand carved. There are no markings or tags to tell the manufacturer. Just curious if anyone would know a little more information about this item. Someone had told me they believe it to be from the 1930's or early 40's. The back was just a piece of some kind of cheap board which I replaced as it was damaged. I believe the original color was whitish with gold trim painted in the groves. It would also be nice to know what it is worth.
Thank you.
Cindy
