as to the best of my knowledge the trunk is from around 1915 made by the Crouch & Fitzgerald company in New York City. I have read that hey were thee most top quality trunk made in the USA at the time, up there with louis vuitton. the trunk has no visible wood that i can see, the slats are either solid leather or covered. The corners are of very thick 1/4" leather . the decorative metal on the corners looks to be steel? the lock and keeper look to be brass. there is no key to this trunk. the interior is in good shape covered in a tan canvas like material. all of the hardware including hinges is in great shape, the hasps are very strong, not much use.

Long Description and Pictures (jpg, gif, png):

Beadleston & Woerz, NY new York, was one of the largest brewery's in the country in the last quarter of the 19th century. This full color advertising poster/calendar highlights their seven brands of beer and porter. The multiyear poster had annual calendar sheets glued on top of the final 1900 year printed on the poster. The poster has been mounted behind museum quality glazing since the early 1970's. Prior to that time it was tightly rolled. The dry framed mounting allows the vestiges of the rolled creasing to show upon inspection.
This may be a one of a kind piece of history from a significant brewer of the 19th century as I can find no comparisons. Can you help?

History:
My grandfather mailed it to his mother during World War II. Then passed to my mother some years ago, before it was passed on to me.
Long Description and Pictures (jpg, gif, png):

It looks to be Austrian. A female goat farmer is herding three goats through a mountain pass. The artist's name has faded and is difficult to read. The F. is distinct. But the last name is either Pi.... or Li.... The date is for sure 1911 also. Any information would be helpful. Mainly seeking the artists name or if they have other paintings that I could seek out to obtain for my collection.
