Long Description
I found this bowl and some other dishes in a box in the garage. They look like they could be old and possibly worth some money. I would like to sell them but have no idea what they are. I can google the name but without knowing what this dish is called, I cant find a reliable estimate of what its worth. I also have the pitcher and 2 chamber pots. I think this may be a soap dish or possibly for powder. Any info you have on what this is worth or what it is called would be appreciated.

Re: Winton Ware Grimsdale England
I think its for loose tea. It looks like an apple shaped one I have but depending on the size...tea would go in holes dish and set or held over teacup as water was poured over, then it would sit in the dish to catch the extra draining. Thats how mine works and it has 2 covered pots and a pitcher in its set for lemons, sugar and milk. Not sure of exact name but I would start with tea strainer along with the makers mark info.
Re: Winton Ware Grimsdale England
It's a soap dish, and once part of a larger set with a wash basin, pitcher, chamber pot, hair receiver and toothbrush holder. The drain allows water to run to the bottom of the dish. The Grimwades marking on it dates from the 1930's.
