I acquired recently at auction a set of wedgwood England Topaz Glass Royal Silver Anniversary 1947-1972 Topaz Glass Goblets with Jasper Ware Cameo Decoration.
The goblets are new, unused in the original packaging and come with a letter dated 1972 from the then Managing Director of Josiah wedgwood & Sons Canada, Michael Eccles.
The letter details a situation of seriously constrained availability and the resulting shipment of 48 sets only of Topaz glass goblets to Canada. The letter also states that those 48 sets were part of a total of only 500 topaz sets and a part of a total 1000 sets alltogether.
One goblet is in mint/perfect condition while the other has 2 small, what i believe to be manufacturing flaws. There is an open bubble on the foot and a very small, roughly 3/16" line or abrasion near the center. Attached photos show both issues.
I have pretty much all of the pertinent info regarding the items themselves but I have struck out trying to find any reliable info on a value for them. Any info in that area would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.
