Long Description
This is a Limited Edition Wedgewood Ā Harvard Anniversary 1636-1936 set of Harvard plates, cups, saucers and demitasse cups and saucers. Ā It belonged to Vernon Wallingford of Ferguson Missouri. Ā Vernon was my husband's grandfather who attended Harvard University. Ā It is classic royal blue and white. Ā All of the cups and plates depict different buildings of the University. Ā It was a set of 12 but now there are 10 plates in perfect condition. Ā There are 9 tea cups with 1 damaged, there are 11 demitasse cups with two cups showing their age. Ā All the saucers are in perfect condition. Ā The set is beautiful and I still use it on special occasions.
History
Was a 12 piece set of blue and white Wedgewood limited Edition China made in England celebrating the 300th (1636-1936) anniversary of Harvard University. All the cups, saucers and plates depict scenes of Harvard. Some pieces are missing or cracked but there are 8 pieces of the plates, cups, saucers and demitasse cups and saucers that are in mint condition.
