i think it might be painted milk glass. that is what the lady at the antique store thought.

i think the lid is pewter. on the lid it has a marking that begins phila. vac.

Long Description
there are 3 men, 2 sitting on a log at a table. while the 3rd in the middle appears to be serving them. there is also a small lip. it appears to have been made that way, it is smooth. it does need cleaned, however i have not noticed any chips.
i can't get the photo loader to work, so i included links to photos. i hope that is ok. thank you for any help you can give. none of the antique dealers in town can tell me anything about this stein.

my mother was told that her grandfather brought it over while fighting in ww1. most of the stories she was told however turned out to be untrue.
