Dear Sir/ Madam,  I found your site after doing an internet search. Our family has a sea shell souvenir that is about 5-5 1/2 inches in size and about the same across. It is shaped like a snail shell.I'm sending photographs of it so you can also see the broken part. The shell is carved with a beautiful filigree and was coloured like a mother of pearl. But over the years, not only has a part of the filigree broken, the colour too looks worn and I'm not really quite sure of what material is it. It is well over 50 years old and the carving also says 'Souvenir Port Blair'. I tried to search the internet to find a similar item but was very unsuccessful. Could you please help me identify what exactly is this sea shell made of etc. and also appraise it for me if possible. I'll be truly grateful to you. Sincerely,Eileen
