I have had this unquie cast iron art/door for 16 years hanging in my home.  I bought the ranch in 2000 and when i was cleaning out the overstuffed barn i found this beautiful art work.  I would like to know what it is and how much it is worth.  If the price is right I am willing to sell it.  I saw a show on the discovery channel that showed art work like I have.  they said that a family out of Germany use to sculpted wood stove doors for the rich, & that the family decided to sculpt a mold  & pour the cast iron artwork.  the piece I have has a number 378 which is raided on the back of the frame.  This art work is made out of 2 pieces. It is all coast iron I think. The frame is hammered look with another raised frame on it of lilys.  The picture part is of a sculpted elk or Red Stg buck with two sculpted cows elk or Red Stags  with a raised forest.  the two pieces are bolted with some old square nuts.  I put some bailing wire  around two of the bolts to hang it in my living room.  I would like to know what it is and how much  it could be worth  so that I can sell it if is worth alot

History
I found this in the barn When I bought my ranch behind a lot of junk. Then I saw a show on discovery channel about a old German family that made beautiful cast iron doors & art work for the rich. The family decided to sculpt molds and pour the molds to make it faster. This art work looked like that stuff and it has a mold number 378 on the back of the frame part. there is a knob at the top of frame but no hinges anywhere just smooth on the back so I thought it was art. Not Sure.
