Re: Rookwood Bust of Boy
Very odd piece, I don't have any records for a Rookwood bust that matches this. I don't think this is a Rookwood piece, the method of its construction and the mark is all wrong for a Rookwood piece. You might want to get a specialist in Rookwood to look at this one.
Re: Rookwood Bust of Boy
Thanks for your reply. I myself am having a hard time believing the piece is a rookwood because you can't find anything on busts with there marking on it. I put the piece side by side with the 1886 mark for rookwood and it is exact. Next step will be to have a specialist look at it.

Re: Rookwood Bust of Boy
Rookwood did make quite a few Busts, but none I've seen for that early a date.
Re: Rookwood Bust of Boy
Thanks so much for your info,I'm not sure if this will help or not but the glaze on the bust seems to have a tint of light blue or pale green. Â You can tell within the creases. Â Thanks again!!
