I recently discovered a framed original gold-embossed Masonic Register with several signatures dated 1902. The glass was broken so while I was taking the document/frame apart, I found a black and white print behind the Register titled “GREAT FALLS OF THE YELLOW-STONE”. In the bottom right corner KURZ & ALLISON – CHICAGO was listed. The overall print measures 21” x 27”. I have researched Kurz & Allison and they produced many hundreds of famous scenes in the mid-late to late 1800s. This print shows the falls on the right side with a group of Native American Indians on the left side. The print is in good condition. I have searched the internet without finding this print or any information concerning it. Can you possibly shed any light on this print and its value? I have attached pictures of the print and wish to sell it.
I have contacted the following art experts, and they all agree after researching, it must be rare because few prints exist of Native Americans at Yellowstone. They have no knowledge concerning the print:
