Long Description
Powder-Horn - unsure if this is antique or replica or a powder-horn at all?
Found many years ago on the bank of the River Mersey - near Liverpool, UK.
Item looks like it is mainly some some of horn/shell/bone and is embellished with what looks like silver. Â Has some cracks to the main 'horn'.
Chain attaches to each end.
There is a small marking/hallmark - under a magnifying glass it looks like a 'A' sign with arrows on the edge of the legs. See pictures for this.
History
Possible powder-horn, unsure if this is a replica? Or a powder-horn at all? I found this item in the sand on the bank of the River Mersey (on the Wirral, opposite Liverpool, UK) - this was approx 1986/1987
