Long Description
I am interested in the value of the Frame/Case -- not in the pocket watches that are
displayed.
On the back of the frame is a label that says the gold gilding has been warranted by
Newcomb.  I think Newcomb/Macklin were a famous frame company in the midwest
in the 1940's?
The frame/case measures 17 1/2" high x 13 1/4" wide x 4" deep
The inside shadow box is 11" high x 9" wide x 3" deep
My grandfather's hobby was carpentry and so I am wondering whether he
took an existing Newcomb frame and added the watch case-shadow box
and therefore what the value of the case/frame might be.
Thanks so much for your help and information.
History
