Long Description
The item is an Italian Renaissance style X-chair (Savonarola or Dante Chair).
It Measures 33 inches at the tallest part of back rest x 22 1/2 in. wide and 22 inches deep.
The seat and back have been reinforced and reupholstered. It has notched groves at the base and foot of the armrest as well on the front legs.
Has a spindle carved support front-to-back on the "X" and rosette on the front and back of the "X”
I do not have any history on the chair. We purchased it at a garage sale about 15 years ago.
